Rules Summary : Long Beach's law allows property owners to rent out their own primary residences as short-term rentals on an unlimited basis if the owners are present or identify a local STR operator, or up to 90 days per year if the host is away. The number of Non-Primary Residences allowed to operate in the City at any given point in time is 800. The transient tax of 13% must be collected. Only one primary or non-primary residence is allowed per host.
