Rules Summary : The City of Santa Clarita does not have any land-use restrictions on short-term rentals, including short-term rentals of homes for periods less than 30 days or those that can be rented on a nightly basis. There are no active proposals or plans to restrict short-term rentals, but the City periodically evaluates this topic and could consider adopting a code or other regulations for short-term rentals in the future. The City currently only collects Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) from commercial hotels and motels, not short-term rental properties.
