Rules Summary : Starting from October 2019, property owners in Washington DC can only rent out one home—their primary residence—according to a city regulation act. To legally operate short-term rental, all hosts must register with the city. For those who wish to rent out an entire property, they must obtain an additional “vacation rental” endorsement.
